Gentle Sleep Coaching for Babies

Better sleep — for your baby,
and for you.

Easy, compassionate techniques to build sleep routines that actually work. No “cry it out.” No “figure it out.”

A gentler approach

The kind of sleep coaching that feels like yours.

Taking my years of experience with infant sleep, I’ve developed a gentle sleep coaching method that will help your baby get to sleep and stay asleep. This method is for families looking to understand age-appropriate sleep patterns, help their little one sleep longer, and find better sleep for the entire family.

No need to “cry it out” or leave your baby to “figure it out.” My approach is simple, gentle (for everyone), and effective. We’ll lay the foundation and nurture it with techniques that work — and with minimal tears!

Proficient in American Sign Language — available to Deaf and hard-of-hearing families.

Who this is for

If any of these sound familiar — you’re in the right place.

The hourly waker

Your 4+ month old is still waking every hour, and everyone in the house is running on fumes.

The back-to-work countdown

You’re returning to work soon and need reliable, predictable sleep — yesterday.

The gentle co-sleep transition

You’ve loved co-sleeping, and you’re ready to move your little one into their own space without anyone shedding tears over it.

The sibling schedule shuffle

Twins, or a toddler plus a newborn, and the whole-family sleep schedule has gone sideways.

Serving Los Angeles

A baby and toddler sleep coach in Los Angeles — in person and virtual.

I work with families across Los Angeles and Southern California — from the South Bay and Westside to Long Beach, DTLA, and Northern Orange County. Whether you’re looking for a baby sleep coach to navigate the 4-month regression, a toddler sleep trainer helping with crib-to-bed transitions, or a sleep consultant for the whole family, the approach is the same: gentle, evidence-based, built around your child’s age and your parenting style.

Every consult starts the same way — we talk, I listen, and we build a plan that fits. No rigid templates. No “one method for every baby.” Just the kind of sleep coaching a Los Angeles family actually needs — flexible, supportive, and rooted in over a decade of hands-on infant sleep experience.

The method

How we get your baby sleeping — together.

  1. 1. Assess

We start with a thorough look at your baby’s current sleep, your family’s rhythm, and what “better” actually looks like for you.

  2. 2. Plan

I build you an age-appropriate plan that fits your parenting style — no cookie-cutter templates, no rules that don’t fit your life.

  3. 3. Nurture

We put the plan in motion together — with gentle techniques that work for your baby and feel right for you.

  4. 4. Adjust

Sleep is a moving target — we check in, tweak what isn’t working, and keep building on what is.

How we work together

Two ways to get sleep coaching.

Option 1

Included in Postpartum Packages

Gentle sleep coaching is part of every Postpartum Doula package I offer — woven into my in-home shifts so your baby is building healthy sleep habits from week one.

Best for: families already thinking about postpartum support and wanting sleep guidance as part of a larger care plan.

Option 2

Standalone Sleep Consultation

A focused engagement for families who want targeted help with their little one’s sleep — without a full postpartum package.

  • Initial 15-minute virtual intake call to see if Sleep Coaching is right for your family
  • 60-minute virtual intake call to chat about your current sleep situation and desires
  • Written sleep plan built for your baby’s age and your family
  • 2 virtual follow-up check-ins to adjust as you go
  • Text support between check-ins, up to 4 weeks

Best for: families whose baby is 4+ months and ready for a focused sleep reset.

Frequently asked

The questions I hear most.

When can I start sleep coaching?
Most gentle sleep coaching works best from around 4 months, when your little one's sleep patterns start maturing. That said, we can talk about gentle, age-appropriate habits as early as the newborn stage — it just looks different.
Will my baby have to “cry it out”?
No. That's the whole point. My method is gentle, responsive, and designed to minimize tears — for your baby and for you.
How long does it take?
Most families see real progress in 1–2 weeks of consistent practice, with a full sleep rhythm settling within 3–4 weeks. Every baby is different, though — we don't rush it.
Do I have to sleep-train to see results?
Not the way you're probably picturing “sleep training.” My approach is about building healthy habits and a supportive environment, not enforcing a rigid schedule.
What if my baby is still breastfed overnight?
No problem. Gentle sleep coaching works with breastfeeding — not against it. We'll build a plan that supports both your feeding goals and better sleep.
What if we co-sleep?
Co-sleeping is a valid choice. If you love it, we work within it. If you're ready to transition, we do that gently — on your timeline, not a textbook's.

What My Clients Say

Heather Smith

Heather Smith

Denise started her on the 90 minute sleep schedule and it worked like a charm. Our baby had reflux so getting her to sleep was a challenge. She is a baby expert and provided us with tools every step of the way.

Emily Zank

Emily Zank

She is full of helpful suggestions for newborn sleep and naps. I don't know how I did it without her with my first two kids. We will definitely hire her again for our next baby!
